Well the last theme was a bit too bright for my taste so I have made one more aesthetic change. I am hopeful that this will be the last of the theme changes for a while as I like the layout of this one and have been slowly working on customization.
I will be working on growing the blog a bit here and thought that a theme that did not burn people’s retinas would probably work a little better.
That said - I should be back on my normal posting schedule beginning on Monday after I iron out a few kinks in the works.

After work last night I decided to give a new plug-in a shot (CommentLuv) in order to give people a little more exposure to their blogs when the post comments. While trying to get the plug in going I came to discover that it just would not work with the theme I was using without a hefty bit of programming.
I pondered it a bit and decided that I have never really been terribly happy with my old theme and decided it would probably be less work to build in a new theme - so here it is! For those of you that have been visiting for a while I would appreciate any thoughts on the new format - is it any better than the last?
So far I prefer it to my previous theme but I would love to hear from anyone else out there.

Happy Tax Day everyone! I hope that everyone was able to get their taxes out already or is at least able to get them in the mail today!
I have noted that I have already finished mine and am really glad that I do not have to worry about them today. Now I plan on sitting back and relaxing a little bit today and watching some news coverage on MSNBC regarding the crazy right wing tea-bagging parties.
I happen to particularly enjoy the clips from the Rachel Maddow Show coverage but I suppose that’s just my liberal point of view.

The Carnival of Personal Finance is up and running over at MoneyNing and one of my articles found a way in. Head on over and check the carnival out! Lots of good articles this week.

I suppose the title says it all. A few weeks ago I opted to give Kontera a shot and see how it worked out. So far - I am not terribly impressed. It is not so much that the total clicks were low (there were 2 registered) but more that I can not stand the number o f context links they put up.
Something about it just makes me feel like the site is dirty with Kontera running. All the context links with all the little pop-ups on hover. I just do not like it. I suppose it is a personal preference but Kontera is just not for me. So that is that - just a heads up and I am going to head out to remove my plugin now.
