Weekly Roundup: Living Greener Edition
Posted on: May 15, 2009 by Matt
Since my post earlier this week about the film An Inconvenient Truth I have been working at being much more conscious about my impact on the environment. So far I have managed to walk or bike to work the remainder of the week with the exception of one round trip due to poor weather and have been working on several other small steps. Long term my family and I should see some decent savings in our power bill, use a bit less gas, help the planet and I should even get some health benefits to top it all off! Pretty exciting stuff.
In addition – I saw quite a bit of good reading out there this past week and really enjoyed the following posts:
- No Debt Plan asks Do You Play What If?
- Budgets are Sexy (J. Money – you sure can pick a blog name, I love it) has an inside look at going uninsured.
- Man Vs Debt writes on how to sleeve your credit card to fight impulse spending.
- Zen Habits provides The Art of the Small: How to Make an Impact.
- Money Beagle plans to help support the local economy.
- The Simple Dollar presented Health and Money: The Power of Independent Steps.
