Today I am going to list out some of my short term goals (within the few months to the next year).  I then hope to have some of my mid to long term goals up for everyone to see tomorrow.  Hopefully putting my goals out there for the whole world to see will help hold me accountable for getting them done.

Currently my short term goals are:

  1. Start building a relationship with a local bank: Sounds kind of crazy given the economic turmoil lately but I do believe that I need to have a positive relationship built with a local bank.  My entire family banks at the same local bank and one of my sisters works as a teller for a branch as well.  I believe that this should be a simple goal to reach; in fact I plan on going today.
  2. Continue to pay down debt: I plan to start getting some debts liquidated.  I am tired of having them hanging over my head.  I also plan to figure out how to best combat the loans remaining in collections.  I am still waiting to hear from the agency that holds my student loans in collection since filing a complaint with the state attorney general.
  3. Increase alternative and passive income streams: I am planning to find a few methods to generate a bit more passive income and alternative income.  I will keep everyone updated as I figure these out and give my opinions of the methods I am using.
  4. Increase blog traffic: I would like to drive a bit more traffic to my little blog here – some quality traffic, not just page hits.
  5. Start working a new niche project: I have a small project that I am planning in the works. I plan to have it launched by the end of the year if all goes well.
  6. Get more exercise: Since I have moved back to Vermont and now work from home I get very little exercise.  I no longer have to go between client sites and do not get outside as much as I should.  I also do not have a gym membership and am generally getting pretty lazy.

So there are my goals for the next three to twelve months.  There are not too many and I hope that I am able to accomplish them all.  I plan to have more updates coming as well as some planning items on how I will accomplish these goals.
